With the death of my husband, Michael John Jacobs in 2021 the past year has been very tumultuous and this piece is part of my healing journey forward, the battle within grief to find a way forward, to not allow it to consume, the mental mindfulness that reminds me to stand on guard. This piece is a very important current piece pulling me from a void state of grief helping me to embrace the now through a new series : The Eighth Day, a body of work that will be shown in 2024 Orillia Museum of Art, Orillia Ontario curator Tanya Cunnington and grateful for the insights and guidance of a friend and mentor Ted Fullerton.
