Sculpture, Public Art:
Blue Water International Sculpture Exhibition (2010-2012)
'What Day is it? (2010)' now resides in Port Huron, Michigan U.S.A. ‘Unconditional Love (2010)’ stands 6 feet tall, and it is installed in the City of Sarnia, ON. (DEDICATION: Dedicated to the memory of Canadian sculptor Jean Horne, who in1996 gave me a piece of steel to remind me to fulfill my dreams, which is included in this piece). These two pieces were juried into the 'Blue Water International Sculpture Exhibition,' (curated by John Sauve 2010), uniting sculptors from Canada and the United States, a three-day event showcasing sculptures in Sarina, Ontario and Port Huron, Michigan (2010- 2012).
Sculpture, Public Art:
Ontario Water Centre, Clearwater Farms Georgina (2024)
'Winds West', three pieces combined to speak to migration, first contact, framing and working together in a good way. Constructed of steel, primarily vintage farm equipment that was dismantle, using the disks, and rakes to create the figurate pieces that resonate wheat farming, the challenges and victories. Created in 2022/23 it is currently being installed as part of a Heritage Walkway.
Sound and Video Art:
'Shadows - Living with our ghosts’ is a time-based video project created in 2007 photographing the shadows of the sculpture ‘What Day is it’, at different times during the day over two weeks in the winter. The images were digitally manipulated to show depth as a metaphor for the depth of destruction's impact over time. Jeanette used the parsed code from a painting of the same name .
to create an audio sonification (sound art) to unify the project. A designer's understanding of postscript, a music generator, and music video editors were the tools she used to create haunting melodies and sonification(s). This process has been used to create Sound Art as ambient sounds for exhibition backgrounds, submissions to Sound Cloud, as well inclusion in the Survey 0032 with the U.K. Group's ‘Classwar Karaoke’, over 4 different projects, gave Jeanette a forum to share, learn and expand her knowledge in this unique art form.

2022-23 'The ICE HUT Project, Town of Innisfil, and Innisfil IdealLab and Library
Jeanette was one of five artists (Angela Aujla, Cheryl Daniells, Maria Kelebeev, Neda Mazhab Jafari) chosen to participate in this one-of-a-kind, community inspired public art project, as ice fishing huts were transformed by the local artists into attractive, engaging, and thought-provoking art displays. Strategically located, the displays were on and near frozen Lake Simcoe, in public parks, and civic spaces. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFUHKLwoATo
Choosing paint - Good Vibrations in the Park: This fun, wonderfully diverse group of ice fishing enthusiasts adorning this ice hut will bring a warm smile in what may be a very cold snowy day. You can almost feel the ‘good vibrations’ a happy happening in a vivid colourful approach that hopefully will inspire some to give it a go. A fun tongue-in-cheek design reflects life on the lake during the winter months. Highlighting our natural heritage bringing together a diverse group of people through a gathering, making friends, enjoying a fishy dance, a view from afar and the final joy - the prize, a wonderfully large catch of the day.
